To the Veterans

Let me start with this:

Your willingness to fight for our country is admirable! Thank you!

First known as Armistice Day in 1918, it was a day commemorating the anniversary of World War I ending. It was changed to Veterans Day on June 1, 1954 to honor veterans of all wars. We have had several conflicts since then and it sure makes for a fun time if you ever start a conversation with an older veteran.

But really, I'm just grateful for anything we get for free or for a discount today. It puts me in a really awesome mood to see older veterans cause I will strike up a conversation. I absolutely LOVE hearing their stories while we're in line. Then getting a free or discounted coffee, doughnut or meal is just the cherry on top.

I hope everyone had a wonderful day!
